Pro-coalition commander killed in Marib

MARIB, Sept. 12 (YPA) – A pro-coalition military commander was killed on Saturday during confrontations with the Yemeni army and popular committees in Marib province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The commander of coalition’s recruits in Rakhim and Wasil areas of al-Juba front, Salim al-Massaabi was killed with tens of 173 troops.

The army was able to repel a new attack of coalition’s mercenaries in al-Juba front, killing and injuring dozens of them, including military commanders, the sources said.

The sources declared that coalition’s forces and Islah militants inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipment during an offensive carried out by the Yemeni army in the same front.

The fate of many commanders and officers of coalition is still unknown, the sources added.
