Yemen army targets pro-coalition commanders in Marib

MARIB, Sep. 10 (YPA) – A number of senior commanders of the Saudi-led coalition were killed on Thursday in the city of Marib, according to sources.

The sources affirmed that the commanders were targeted during the clashes with the Yemeni army on the outskirts of the city.

The sources in the province said that the army forces were able to counter a new attack of the coalition forces, which led by Abdulaziz bin Duker Al-Haddad, in an attempt to advance towards Qarn Salem and Zain in Al-Nudud area in Al-Wadi district in the city.

“Dozens of coalition forces and Islah militias also fell killed and wounded in the armed confrontations,” the sources said.

The sources indicated that the fate of many officers and commanders of the coalition forces in Al-Nadhud Front of Marib has been unknown.

Since March 26, 2015, the coalition has intervened in Yemen’s sovereignty and internal affairs, and waged a military operating against the Yemeni army and people in flagrant violations of the international conventions.
