Lebanon refuses to receive Turkish plane for its passage over Israeli

BEIRUT, Sep. 12 (YPA) – The Lebanese authorities on Friday refused to receive a Turkish cargo plane; for passing through the Israeli airspace.

“The airport administration prevented a Turkish cargo plane from landing at Beirut airport, because of its passage in Israeli airspace,” the Lebanese ‘Al-Nashra’ agency quoted Beirut Airport chief, Fadi Al-Hassan, as saying Friday.

“The cargo plane was supposed to come from Amman to Beirut directly, but it seems that something wrong happened at the Turkish side and led to its passage through the occupied lands,” Al-Hassan added.

There was no comment from the Turkish authorities about what the Lebanese official mentioned.

Lebanon places conditions on all airlines coming to Beirut, not to pass over Israeli airspace.
