Yemeni army forces cuts off last outlet for coalition forces in Marib

MARIB, Sept. 4 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces and the popular committees began Thursday to cut off the only remaining outlet for Saudi-led coalition forces in Marib city by advancing east towards Al-Wadia’h crossing and the Empty Quarter desert.

According to local sources, the coalition forces and Islah Party’s militias incurred new losses in light of the rapid advance of the Yemeni army forces and the popular committees in the northern and eastern fronts of the city of Marib, which are now at a distance of five kilometers from Sanaa forces.

The sources indicated that Sanaa forces were able to purge the strategic Qarn Al-Ghurab area between Al-Alam and Al-Sabayegh areas in Wadi Abida in Marib.

The army forces and popular committees managed to repel a new advance of the coalition forces towards the outskirts of Madghal district, causing heavy losses to them in lives and gear, the sources added.
