Over 600 million riyals looted daily by mercenaries from Marib refineries: Oil Minister

SANAA, Sept. 2 (YPA) – Minister of Oil and Minerals in the Salvation Government Ahmed Daress said more than 600 million Yemen riyals from Marib refineries revenues go daily to the mercenaries’ government backed by Saudi-led coalition.

“We do not recognize any agreement that the mercenaries conclude with any country to control oil resources,” the Oil Minister stressed in a statement to Al-Masirah TV channel.

Daress pointed out that Marib refineries produce between 84 to 90 locomotives of gas per day and 9,200 barrels of benzene, diesel and mazut per day, and their revenues exceeding 600 million Yemeni riyals go to the mercenaries.

The coalition mercenaries loot a cargo of seven to ten locomotives of oil from Safer Refinery daily, at a value of 60 million riyals, and sell them to specific persons in Marib, he added.

He indicated that the mercenaries looted 18 million barrels of oil in 2018 and deposited the value in Saudi banks and their personal accounts.

The Oil minister noted that the coalition mercenaries plundered 29 million barrels of oil in 2019, with a value of over 300 billion Yemeni riyals.
