Al-Haq accuses intelligence of foreign countries of assassinating scholar Yahya bin Hammoud al-Ahdal
SANAA, Aug. 29 (YPA) -Al-Haq Party has condemned assassination of Yahya bin Hammoud al-Ahdal at dawn on Friday, in a Saudi-led coalition drone strike that hit in Hodeidah province, western Yemen.
The party accused intelligences of foreign countries of carrying the assassination, in which a Saudi-led coalition drone strike hit his home in the besieged city of al-Durahymi.
In a statement condemning the assassination of the scholar Yahya Bin Hammoud, al-Haq said it was “the involvement of the intelligence hands of the countries of international arrogance in these crimes, notably America and Israel.”
He added: “We stress that these crimes target the symbols of the homeland and those who represent it and he was one of the great scholars of the Sufi Shafi’i Muslims, who represent one of the largest Islamic sects in Yemen.”
In its statement, al-Haq expressed its “deepest condolences to the Islamic nation in this great loss, to the family of the martyr Yahya bin Hammoud al-Ahdal, his students and his lovers, and to all those belonging to the Sufi Shafi’i.”
