STC warns against any military movements of Islah in Lahj

LAHJ, Aug. 26 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Lahj province on Tuesday warned against any military moves by Islah militants  towards the southern provinces.

According to media sources affiliated with the STC, head of the UAE-backed council in Lahj held an emergency meeting with the commander of the so-called “Southern Resistance” in the Area of Subaiha, to discuss threats of Islah militants in areas of contact with the areas of al-Hujarya.

Al-Islah is heading to blow up the situation by launching an attack on the STC’s militias in Lahj, amid a tactical withdrawal of the STC to some areas between Lahj and Taiz.

The STC threatened the the al-Islah militants from any movement towards the areas of Lahj, or the southern provinces, which will have a lookout.

The move came following the establishment of camps in the strategic heights of the Al-Miqtarah Mountains, which are administratively affiliated with Lahj province, and the imposition of his fiery control over the international road in the areas of Ras al-Arah, Tor al-Baha and Bab al-Mandab in Lahj governorate.
