NMC warns from hot weather during next 24 hours
SANAA, Aug. 24 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center warned on Monday from the hot weather and extreme heat shocks during the afternoon during the next 24 hours.
The center expected that the weather will be partly cloudy, hot and humid in the coastal areas, and partly cloudy, hot in the desert regions.
The center affirmed that the atmosphere will be unstable in the western mountain heights and the interior regions adjacent to the coasts, especially the western ones, with the possibility of extending eastward to the interior plateaus.
This will be accompanied by scattered rain, which may be accompanied by thunder sometimes during the afternoon and evening periods, in separate areas, the center added.
Sea turbulence is expected in the regional waters, east of Gulf of Aden, around Socotra and parts of the eastern and southern coasts due to the continuous activity of the monsoons.
The center called on citizens not to be in floods way and cautioned against the landslides, mudslides and the decline in the range of horizontal visibility.
It also warned fishermen, sea goers and ship masters of strong winds and sea turbulence.
