Israeli drone shot down in Lebanese airspace

SANAA, Aug 23 (YPA) – Media relations in Hezbollah reported that the Islamic Resistance shot down an ‘Israeli’ drone that penetrated Lebanese airspace near the town of Aita al-Shaab on Saturday afternoon.
In its statement, Hezbollah added that the Israeli drone “is in the custody of the mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance.”

In turn, the spokesman for the Israeli occupation army, Avichai Adrai, confirmed, via Twitter, that an “Israeli drone” had fallen on Lebanese territory.

He said, “Earlier on Saturday, during the operational activity of a military force on the border with Lebanon, a military drone fell inside Lebanese territory. There is no fear of information leakage,” as he claimed.

This is the second time, in less than a month, that the Israeli occupation forces announce that a drone has fallen inside Lebanese territory. On July 26, the occupation army said that a military drone that was carrying out “operational activity” had fallen inside Lebanese territory.
