ADEN, Aug. 21 (YPA) – On Thursday, Unknown gunmen assassinated a leader of so-called southern resistance in the Sheikh Osman district of the occupied province of Aden.

According to media sources, gunmen shot and killed Captain Ahmed Nasser al-Damani, a member of the Interior Ministry in Hadi’s government, near his home in al-Maddara area, killing him instantly, while the gunman fled.

The sources indicated that the leader of the resistance, Khor Maksar al-Damani, was taken to a hospital in Aden, but died of his wounds he had sustained.

This comes two and a half months after the southern resistance commander, Colonel Fadl Abdo Hassan, commander of the so-called “Salman Belt” brigade, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the Saylahla area of Sheikh Othman district and fled.

Aden province has been experiencing unprecedented security chaos since the start of the Saudi-led aggression on Yemen in 2015, leading to widespread chaos, armed gangs assassinating military, security and civilians, and looting public and private property in the city.
