Clashes renew among UAE-backed militias, Islah militants in Taiz

TAIZ, Aug. 20 (YPA) – Dozens of gunmen were killed on Thursday and others wounded in clashes renewed among Islah party’s militias and UAE-backed 35 brigade forces in Taiz province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The clashes erupted among them in al-Birin area using various weapons and resulted in the death of three gunmen loyal to 35 brigade, including the son of operations commander, the sources added.

The sources declared that Islah militants carried out an armed ambush for 35 brigade reinforcements in al-Maafir district.
