Armed ambush targets Saudi military reinforcements in Mahra
MAHRA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – Tribal gunmen on Tuesday evening set up an ambush targeting military reinforcements of Saudi occupation forces in Mahra province, east of Yemen, sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The Saudi military reinforcements, which included heavy military equipment and Saudi soldiers, were coming from Sayoun city of Hadramout province, when the armed tribesmen attacked them with various types of weapons, the sources explained.
At the end of last July, the people of Mahra foiled demonstrations called by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council to impose the so-called “self-management” in the province.
