Military sources reveal naval maneuver between UAE, Israel starts off Yemen coasts

 SOCOTRA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – Military sources on Tuesday revealed Emirati-Israeli preparations to carry out a joint naval maneuver starting from Socotra Island to Bab al-Mandab strait, passing through the southern and western coasts of Yemen.

The sources confirmed that the UAE has established a joint underground operations room with the Israeli navy in one of the military sites it had created in the Ras Qattainan area, located southwest of Socotra, towards the islands of Samha and Abd al-Kuri and the Horn of Africa.

The Israeli Navy experts equipped the operation room with the latest devices, amid intense secrecy on the site, sources added.

This comes after the UAE transferred, last weekend, Israeli experts and military equipment to Socotra Island by Emirati warships in secretly.
