QUDS, Aug. 18 (YPA) – The Supreme Islamic Authority in Quds city said Tuesday that “the fires in Al-Aqsa Mosque are still continuing.”
This came on the eve of the 51st anniversary of the burning accident of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a statement, signed by head of the authority and preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Ekrimah Sabri, the authority said that Israel is the one who bears responsibility for this attack.
The authority added: “This blessed mosque is for Muslims alone, by a divine decision from Allah Almighty, and it represents part of the faith of nearly two billion Muslims in the world.”
It affirmed that non-Muslims have no relation to this mosque, neither in the past nor in the present. “We do not acknowledge any right of the Jews to it.”
