Islah militants step up shelling on STC sites in Abyan

ABYAN, Aug. 18 (YPA) – The Islah Party militants on Tuesday stepped up their artillery shelling on sites of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

The artillery shelling targeted STC’s sites on the outskirts of Zenjbar city in Abyan, according to informed sources.

The sources added that the intense shelling of Islah militants on Monday evening resulted in the killing of two members of the STC militias and the injury of 13 others.
