Salafist leader loyal to Hadi vows to thwart Riyadh agreement

ADEN, Aug. 17 (YPA) – The Salafist leader and commander of the 4th Brigade presidential protection of Hadi, Mehran Kabati, vowed to thwart the new Riyadh agreement.

We will not allow the exclusion of Salafists and popular resistance from the government to be formed under the new draft of the Riyadh agreement, said Kabati, who presented himself as the leader of the Salafist movement in the south

He added that the popular resistance has the right to participate in the new government, refusing to represent of the so-called emerging powers with large quotas.

Kabati confirmed in remarks to “Sputnik”, that  the so-called  resistance and Salafist leaders, (some of whom have been appointed to military and security positions, some of whom have returned to their previous work, and others who have continued to march on the frontlines in addition to those who have migrated forcibly out of the country) have the right to  demand a share in the government,

He indicated that the so-called e resistance and Salafist leaders will send a signed memorandum to the coalition demanding a share in the government in order to ensure the implementation of the Riyadh agreement, in an explicit threat to fail the implementation of the agreement if they are ignored.
