SANAA, Aug 17 (YPA) – Clashes took place on Sunday between security forces and protesters in the southernmost province of Basra in Iraq.
RT correspondent said, “The protesters demonstrated to demand the detection of the killers of activists and demonstrators in the province, and after they approached the governor’s house, clashes occurred.”
He added, “The protesters blocked some streets in the province, and clashes are still continuing until this moment.”
The recent events come against the backdrop of the killing of the activist in the protests in the province, Tahsin Osama, by unknown gunmen last Friday.
