Sanaa starts practical program to cope with flood disasters

SANAA, Aug. 15 (YPA) – Head of the emergency operations room in the capital Sanaa, Abdelwahab Sharaf al-Din, said that the practical program for dealing with flood disasters began on Saturday according to the available capabilities.

This came during the meeting of the emergency committee to response to disasters, which was devoted to discuss the mechanism of unifying plans and visions for emergency interventions to deal with flood damage to property and infrastructure in the capital, Sanaa.

The meeting reviewed the plans and proposals submitted by the partner parties and concerned bodies regarding the remedies to be taken in all the affected sites in the areas and districts.

The attendees in the meeting stressed the importance of concerted efforts of all parties to make interventions and find remedies for emergency situations resulting from the disasters of rain and floods.
