STC supports Emirati-Israeli agreement

ADEN, Aug. 14 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Yemen’s separatist Southern Transitional Council (STC) has voiced support for the normalizing ties agreement between the UAE and Israel, saying it is a courageous decision by a wise leader, referring to Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed.

The move came in a tweet by the STC’s Vice President Hani Ben Brik, via his twitter page.

The agreement set a road map for joint cooperation with Israel to reach bilateral relations, He said, adding that it serves the Arab option of a two-state solution, serving the Palestinian people, and ending the trade in the issue.

However, Hani Ben Brik’s remakes received widespread condemnations by Yemeni activists on Social media. They considered it a declaration of transition to be fully dependent on the UAE and extended cooperation with Israel.

On Thursday, Israel and the United Arab Emirates announced an agreement that will lead to a full normalization of diplomatic relations between the UAE and the Zionist occupation entity, a move that is likely reshape the political situation in the Middle East.
