SANAA, July 29 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs Dr. Hussein Maqbouli said on Wednesday that “what the international organizations provide is crumbs and does not cover needs.”
This came during his presiding over a meeting in Sanaa to discuss the humanitarian situation and the role of international organizations in light of Saudi-led coalition’s continued detention of fuel ships.
Dr. Maqbouli noted that the coalition forces resorted to using the economic blockade, seizing oil derivatives and reducing aid provided by organizations as a pressure card on Yemen, which has been steadfast in the face of the aggression for more than five years.
In meeting, Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Taha al-Mutawakkil touched on the repercussions that negatively affected the performance of the health sector due to the reduction in medical aid from international organizations, in conjunction with the aggression coalition’s detention of oil derivatives ships.
For his part, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Abdulmalik al-Thour said that the support project provided by international organizations was suspended at the end of last June.
Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation Abdulmohsin Tawoos indicated that the aggression coalition uses the humanitarian side as a pressure card on the Yemeni people, stressing the importance of finding alternatives that cover the role of organizations.
