Judicial Council dismisses judge, shifts several judges, prosecutors

SANAA, July 27 (YPA) – The Supreme Judicial Council on Monday approved the dismissal of a judge, based on the results submitted by the Accounting Council in accordance with the law.

During its meeting headed by Judge Ahmed Yahya al-Mutawakkil, the Council also agreed to shift a number of judges and members of the Public Prosecution to work in some courts and procuratorates according to need and based on the nominations submitted by the Attorney General and Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority.

The meeting reviewed the results of the field visit of the Council’s head along with Justice Minister to Jawf province to inspect the judicial conditions in the province.

In light of the presentation of Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority, the Council approved the establishment of a court and a prosecution office in Jawf and their headquarters in the province center, as well as the formation of primary courts in the province’s districts in accordance with the law.
