Meteorological center warns of torrents flow, strong winds in most provinces

SANAA, July 27 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center on Monday predicted the continuation of heavy rains, strong winds and torrents flow in the reefs and valleys in a number of provinces during the next 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin on Monday, the center expected more rain of varying intensity accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms on large areas in the mountain range of the western highlands, from Saada province in the north to the provinces of Taiz and Lahj in the south.

The center noted that the rainy weather will also include the western coasts of the provinces of Hodeidah and Taiz and the interior regions adjacent to them and extend to parts of the inner plateaus of the provinces of Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Dhalea and Bayda and the deserts of the provinces of Jawf, Marib, Shabwa and Hadramout and parts of the southern and eastern coasts and the adjacent inner regions.

The Meteorological Center advised the citizens in the rain areas not to be present in the flood ducts and valleys, and to take the necessary precautions from the landslides and the decrease in the horizontal visibility due to the low clouds, fog and mud slips.
