Large gas leak from Marib’s production fields

MARIB, July 27 (YPA) – Activists in Marib, on Monday, circulated a video  footage showing a large gas leak from its production fields in Safer.

The images show the perimeter of The Safer company and bubble springs have exploded due to the massive leakage of household gas.

The activists attributed the negligence and looting of maintenance allowances.

They pointed out that those who described as the “gang” that runs the company do not care about the country’s capabilities and al what they care is  to fill its accounts with funds.

Jalal Al-Salahi, an activist, had earlier published documents revealing that the Al-Islah authority and Hadi had burned large quantities of gas from the Safer fields in order to extract strategic oil stocks.

He pointed out that the amount of what was burned in just two days exceeded 252 billion riyals.

The developments come as Yemeni army and popular committees continue to advance amid fears of al-Islah party that the oil province would be liberated.
