STC’s assassination cell captured in Mahra

MAHRA, July 25 (YPA) – Tribesmen seized at dawn on Saturday an assassination cell of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), which is funded by the United Arab Emirates, in al-Ghaydah city, the capital of Mahra province.

The members of the cell, which is led by the pro-STC Himiar al-Yafei, were arrested in one of the residential buildings along with various weapons, including sniper guns and bombs, in their possession, according to local sources.

The sources added that the cell members were handed over to the competent authorities and they confessed that one of the Emirati officers present at Al-Rayyan Airport is who supplied them with weapons that were entered by sea.

Earlier in the day, Mahra tribes detained many cars carrying supporters of the STC at the entrances to the city of al-Ghaydah, and prevent them from entering to hold an event in support of the so-called “self-management” called by the STC.
