Water Minister urges more efforts to provide drinking water for citizens

SANAA, July 19 (YPA) – Minister of Water and Environment in the National Salvation Government Nabil al-Wazir on Sunday stressed the importance of redoubling efforts to provide clean drinking water for citizens.

This came during a meeting via video technology chaired by al-Wazir and included WASH Officer in UNICEF, the organization’s water experts, and Cluster’s officials.

The Minister of Water stressed the need to exploit the time factor to push the water projects better and provide fuel for pumping water and operating sanitation stations in all provinces.

Al-Wazir noted to the importance of the partnership between the Ministry and UNICEF, and the existing coordination to provide citizens’ water needs at the practical level, especially in light of the aggression and blockade that Yemen is exposed to, which has affected on the water sector and the environment.
