20 tons of expired medicines damaged in Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, July 17 (YPA) – The General Authority for Medicines, in cooperation and coordination with the Public Violations and Housing Prosecution Office, destroyed on Thursday twenty tons of expired medicines in Hodeidah province.

The representative of the Violations and Housing Prosecution office, Ahmed al-Abdali declared that the quantity referred to was run over, burned and buried in the garbage dump after a company submitted a request to destroy it.

The damage took place in the presence of the representatives of the Governorate Security Police, the Public Works Office, the Environmental Protection Authority, the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, and the pharmaceutical company.
