Clashes between STC, Islah Party renewed in Abyan

ABYAN, July 14 (YPA) – The armed clashes renewed on Tuesday between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias and Islah Party’s militants in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

The Islah militants bombed locations of the STC’s militias with several mortar shells in the coastal front of Shoqra, according to local sources in the province.

The sources pointed out that the STC militias responded to the sources of the Islah fire, adding that the exchange of bombing between the two parties left huge losses.

Islah Party had pushed 180 fighters from Shabwa province into the coastal front of Shoqra during the past two days.
