Gunmen block main streets in Taiz

TAIZ, July 14 (YPA) – Protesters have blocked a number of streets in the city of Taiz, which is under the control of Islah military formations.

A local source said that gunmen blocked Jamal Street in front of the provincial building, the al-Mash roundabout, as well as wadi al-Qadi road.

The gunmen demanded the handing over the killers of the leader of the al-Islah party, Sharaf al-A’awani, who was killed on Monday during the clashes with other militants after disputes over the collection of Qat taxes in the Dhabab district, the source added.
