Islah security official kidnapped in Socotra

SOCOTRA, July 13 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia kidnapped a security official on Monday on Socotra Island.

According to local sources on the island, the STC’s militia kidnapped Lieutenant Saleh Amer, director of the Civil Status Authority Branch, forced him to hand over the office’s seal, and then took him to one of detention centers.

The STC militias took control of the city of Hadibu, the capital of Socotra, after expelling Islah Party militants from it on June 20.
