Commander loyal to Islah militia escapes assassination attempt in Taiz

TAIZ, July 11 (YPA) – A military commander loyal to Islah party’s militias escaped on Saturday an assassination attempt in Taiz province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The commander of 35 brigade, Abdual-Rahman al-Shamsani escaped assassination attempt in al-Nashma area 24 hours after he was appointed commander-in-chief.

According to the sources, gunmen loyal to commanders, Fuad al-Shadadi and Taha Awn carried out an armed ambush for al-Shamsani, without any casualties.
