Fierce clashes erupted among Islah militias, tribesmen in Taiz

TAIZ, July 9 (YPA) – Fierce clashes erupted on Thursday among Islah party’s militias and armed tribesmen in Shamaitin area of Taiz province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources confirmed that the clashes erupted among residents of Sabran mountain and Islah militants when the militias attempted to establish military sites beside the residents homes.

Islah militiamen used the military strength and shot the citizens, the sources declared.

Islah militias used the light and medium machine guns against the civilians, the sources added.

This comes after Islah militants took control of large parts of the strategic Sabran mountain yesterday.
