Islah Party dispatches military reinforcements to al-Turba city in Taiz

TAIZ, July 8 (YPA) – Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) on Wednesday dispatched large military reinforcements from the so-called “Fourth Mountainous Infantry Brigade” to al-Turba city of Taiz province, southwest Yemen.

This dangerous escalation by the Islah Party, loyal to Saudi-led coalition, could herald violent confrontations during the coming days, according to observers.

The fourth infantry brigade, which includes the Islah militants fleeing the confrontations with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias in Aden province in August 2019, controls the districts of Haifan, al-Maqatrah and al-Wazeyyah, and secures the road between al-Turba city and Tor al-Baha district in Lahj province.
