Clashes break out again among Islah, STC militias in Shabwa

SHABWA, July 6 (YPA) – Fierce clashes renewed on Monday among Islah party’s militias and southern transitional council (STC)’s militiamen in Shabwa province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources said that al-Arim area witnessed the clashes.

The sources also declared that the southern militants carried out an armed ambush in al-Alm area, targeting military reinforcements were sent by Islah militias from Bayhan district to Shaqra.

In the ambush, a tank and several military pick-up vehicles were destroyed.

Islah militants are continuing to collect fighters and send reinforcements from Marib and Shabwa provinces to Abyan, the sources added.
