Turkish President visits Qatar on Thursday

SANAA, July 2 (YPA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to visit to Qatar on Thursday.

During the one-day visit, President Erdogan will meet with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, according to a statement issued by the Turkish presidency’s liaison department on Wednesday.

“Erdogan and Al Thani are expected to discuss all aspects of relations between the two brotherly and friendly countries,” the statement added.

“The Turkish president will exchange views extensively with the Emir of Qatar on regional and international issues,” the statement said.

The statement noted that this visit is Erdogan’s first visit abroad, since the Coronavirus outbreak.
