STC’s militia arrest director of Al-Kuraimi Bank in Aden

ADEN, June 30 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias on Tuesday morning arrested director of Al- Kuraimi Bank in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen.

Informed sources explained that a group of the STC militias led by Karam al-Mashriqi, commander of the so-called “security belt forces” in Sheikh Othman, arrested Al- Kuraimi Bank’s director.

The reasons for the arrest are unknown, the sources added.

The sources confirmed that, earlier, demonstrations and protests had erupted in front of Al-Kuraimi Bank while one of the organizations was disbursing cash aid to citizens before the arrival of the STC militia to quickly close the bank and arrest its manager.
