UN’s special envoy for Yemen arrives in Riyadh

RIYADH, June 29 (YPA) – The United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths arrived Monday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to discuss UN proposals to solve the Yemeni crisis.

Griffiths will meet during his visit to Riyadh with Saudi and Yemeni officials, according to a source close to Hadi’s government.

The talks would focus on efforts to implement the UN proposals to stop the war and resume the political settlement path in Yemen, the source said.

The UN envoy’s visit to Riyadh coincides with the continuation of Saudi air raids on the Yemeni villages and cities.
