Child killed in coalition artillery shelling in Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, June 29 (YPA) – A child was killed and a number of homes was severely damaged in Hodeidah province as a result of the c escalation of the breach of the ceasefire agreement by coalition and its mercenaries within the agreement of Sweden.

Security sources in Hodeidah told Yemen Press Agency on Monday that “the artillery and machine guns of the coalition gunmen targeted the homes of citizens on Khamseen Street, east of the city.”

The sources confirmed that “the heavy artillery and gunfire targeting Khamseen Street on Sunday night, caused the death of the two-year-old girl, Awsal Shukri,”

The sources pointed out that “the coalition and its armed forces intensified, on Sunday, targeting the area of ​​Khamseen Street in the city of Hodeidah, and” bombed with guided missiles and mortar shells separate residential areas.

The sources noted that the escalation of the breach of the ceasefire agreement by the coalition and its mercenaries extended to a number of Hodeidah districts, and intensively Jabalyah area of ​​Al-Tahita district.

The sources said: “The coalition artillery and its mercenaries bombed Jabalyah area in Tahita district intensively, on Sunday, and caused severe material damage to a number of citizens’ homes and farms.”

The sources added: “The coalition gunmen also targeted the city of Al-Duraimi, which is besieged by artillery shells and the fire of various heavy and medium weapons, and severely damaged the homes of civilians.”

It is noteworthy that the coalition and its armed forces are seeking to undermine Sweden’s agreement and obligations in any way since its signing on December 13, 2018, in front of the commitment of the army and the people’s committees to implement it.
