Yemeni army forces advance from Marib towards Shabwa

SANAA, June 25 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces backed by the popular committees on Thursday achieved great military victories in the battles in the Mahliah district southwest of Marib province and began advancing towards the areas bordering Shabwa province.

“The army and popular committees have fought fierce battles against Saudi-led coalition forces in Baihan axis and gunmen from Murad Bani Abd tribe, during which they were able to gain full control of strategic areas in the district of Mahliah, southwest of Marib,” local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources confirmed that Murad Brigade, under the command of Brigadier General Al-Haytham Mansour Namran Al-Muradi (Abu al-Hassan) of Sanaa Forces, advanced towards al-Alam and al-Waal area between the provinces of Marib and Shabwa, where fierce battles are being waged against the coalition forces.
