Corona death toll rises in Britain

SANAA, June 23 (YPA) – The health authorities in Britain announced the increase in the death toll from coronavirus in the Kingdom to 42,927 cases, after counting 280 additional cases, including 171 new deaths recorded since Monday.

The revised figures also include 109 deaths that occurred last April, May and June, and previously there were no deaths due to coronavirus infection.

A statistic conducted by “Reuters” agency, according to official data, showed that the total deaths caused by Covid-19 infection in Britain exceeded 54,000 and reached 54,139 cases, making the United Kingdom one of the countries of the world most affected by the pandemic.

The Reuters count includes cases registered with the death certificates of their owners as caused by Coved-19 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland until June 12, and in Scotland until 14 thereof, in addition to hospital deaths recorded later.
