Bin Daghar’s authorities submit official complaint to UNSC

SANNA, May 10 (YPA) – Bin Daghar’s authorities backed by the Saudi-led coalition submitted an official complaint to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) complaining over the UAE military presence in Socotra Island.

The letter obtained by Yemen Press Agency stated that The UAE occupation forces’ control over the Airport of Socotra Island is against the agreement, the objectives and principles of the Saudi-led coalition which is an apparent violation of the sovereignty of Yemen.

The tension between Bin Daghar’s authorities and the United Arab occupation forces soured since the outbreak of the fierce fighting in the city of Aden when UAE-backed militias tried to overthrow of the outgoing Hadi’s government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in last January.
