Water, Environment Ministry: presidential office’s crime  not subject to limitations statute

 

SANAA, May  10 (YPA) – The Ministry of Water and Environment strongly condemned the continuation of the Saudi-led coalition in targeting service institutions and committing crimes against humanity, the Ministry said in a statement obtained by Saba News Agency on Thursday.

The Ministry said the targeting of the Presidential Office in Tahrir district of capital Sanaa, which killed and wounded dozens, is a war crime contrary to all covenants, international and humanitarian laws.

The statement pointed out that this crime and other crimes committed by the Saudi-led coalition against the Yemeni people and its capabilities will not subject to the statute of limitations.

The ministry  held the United Nations and the Security Council full responsibility for this crime and other crimes committed by the coalition, read the statement.

The statement called on the international community and human rights organizations to play their role and work to stop the coalition war and lift the siege imposed on the Yemeni people for more than three years.
