Eritrea releases 55 Yemeni fishermen

HODEIDAH, June 20 (YPA) – Eritrean authorities have released a new batch of Yemeni fishermen held in custody since the beginning of this month, local sources said on Friday.

Fishermen said 55 Yemeni fishermen detained by The Eritrean authorities arrived Friday at a fishing drop center on the beach of the town of Al-Khokha, south of Hodeidah province in western Yemen.

This is the second batch of Yemeni fishermen released by Eritrean forces after nearly two weeks of being detained from Yemeni territorial waters.
