National Committee for Women: taking coalition off blacklist of children’s rights violators does not negate crimes it committed

SANAA, June 18 (YPA) – The National Committee for Women considered that taking the name of Saudi Arabia from the blacklist of children’s rights violators by the United Nations, indicating that the United Nations is the official sponsor of all violations and war crimes against children and women in Yemen.

The Committee, in a statement, condemned the United Nations’ removal of the name of the Saudi-led aggression coalition from the list of shame, pointing out that removing the name of Saudi Arabia from the list does not negate the crimes it committed against Yemen’s children, the blockade it imposes on the country and the detention of ships loaded with oil and gas.

The Committee called on all international and human rights organizations to assume their responsibilities towards the children of Yemen and pressure the United Nations to reverse this unjust decision.
