UAE unloads US arms shipment in Aden

ADEN, June 14 (YPA) – The United Arab Emirates Occupation forces sent a ship carrying new weapons to the southern port city of Aden, in a sign of preparations to end the battle of Abyan, which has been ravaging local factions for months.

According to Yemen News Portal, maritime sources in the port of Al-Zeit said an Emirati ship unloaded US weapons, including thermal missiles, 30 tiger-type military vehicles and various munitions.

The is the second shipment within eight days, one of the sources added.

It was not known whether the shipment was for the Southern Transitional council (STC) or to reinforce Tariq Saleh forces, which it recently deployed in Aden and Abyan provinces.

However, the data on the ground confirms the UAE’s move to resolve the battle of Abyan, especially in light of the ongoing arrangements in the province to rearrange the ranks of its factions by besieging Hadi’s influence inside the STC.
