Popular Mobilization Leader: We Don’t Trust Americans’ Promises

SANAA, June 10 (YPA) –  A leader of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization warned against any agreement leading to the care of American interests in Iraq, stressing that the American side does not respect any agreement with others.

“The popular mobilization does not trust any agreement or promise from the American side,” said Abu Mahdi al-Karaawi in a press statement.

“The US is ready to cancel all the agreements, as they did in the Iranian file for sake of its interests ” he added.

“Any political or economic negotiation with the US side must be aimed at Iraq’s prestige, regional depth, territorial integrity, sovereignty and benefit to the entire country,” he said.

Al-Karaawi warned against of what is going on in the dark rooms to come up with agreements that preserve America’s interest in Iraq.

Prime Minister Hisham Daoud’s advisor announced yesterday that the dialogue with Washington will begin on June 11.
