Oil Minister meets French MSF’s head

SANAA, June 9 (YPA) – Minister of Oil and Minerals, Ahmed Abdullah Dares, met on Tuesday with the head of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)/Doctors Without Borders, Claire Ha-Duong, in Yemen.

At the meeting, the officials discussed the devastating repercussions that target the Yemeni people as a result of the war and blockade continued by the Saudi-led aggression coalition for five years, as well as detention of more than 18 oil ships permitted by the UNIFEM and mission in Djibouti.

They emphasized that the ongoing blockade and preventing accuse of the urgent treatment requirements and medical and services at hospitals and medical facilities by the coalition contribute to doubling the suffering the Yemenis, especially in light of the spreading of Covid-19.

The minister stressed on the importance of the role played by the humanitarian organizations in alleviating the humanitarian conditions that Yemen is going through, confirming the full readiness to provide all facilities to MSF’s works in Yemen.
