Civil Defense retrieves bodies of 3 maintenance workers in Sanaa

SANAA, June 8 (YPA) – The Civil Defense teams in the capital Sanaa on Monday retrieved bodies of three tunnel and bridge maintenance workers who died of electrocution while cleaning a tunnel in one of the capital streets.

Mayor of the capital, Hamoud Obad, ordered the formation of a committee headed by the capital’s undersecretary Abdulkarim al-Houthi and membership of the security and legal authorities to submit a report on the causes and circumstances of the accident.

Obad emphasized that the capital’s leadership would take legal measures against any party proved its neglect in the performance of its duty, especially the technical aspects related to the electricity service in tunnels and bridges that led to the death of the maintenance workers.
