Jordanian health ministry detects coronavirus cases amongst “Hadi Forces”

SANAA, June 7 (YPA) – Jordanian authorities have confirmed that they have detected two cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) among Yemeni military personnel who have been taken for treatment last week on a Yemeni airlines flight to transport those stranded between Amman and Seiyun airports.

“The tests showed that two out of the 12 Yemeni passengers evacuated from Seiyun airport to Amman were infected with the new Corona virus,” the Jordanian Ministry of Health said Saturday.

“A Yemeni plane left the airport last Wednesday for Amman, Jordan, with a number of officers on board who have injured in the battles in Marib and Abyan,” sources at Seiyun airport in Hadhramaut confirmed.

The sources said earlier: “The forces belonging to Islah Party stormed the airport of Seiyun   and forcibly transported some sick and wounded of its officers, including Brigadier Abdullah al-Subihi, commander of the Axis of Abyan.”

Yemen Airways began operating flights last week to bring back Yemenis stranded abroad due to travel restrictions due to the Corona pandemic, and has so far carried out two flights from Amman and transported about 300 stranded.
