“Joe Biden,” Trump’s rival in US presidential election, continues to achieve great victories

WASHINGTON, June 6 (YPA) – Joe Biden has officially become the Democratic nominee for the upcoming US presidential election, facing the current Republican president, Donald Trump.

This comes after Biden obtained more than 1,991 delegates’ votes, which is the number he needs to be the official candidate for the Democratic Party, according to the “Associated Press” Agency.

Biden won in all the states and territories that witnessed the last rounds of the presidential primary last Tuesday. Those states are Maryland, Indiana, Rhode Island, New Mexico, Montana, South Dakota, Pennsylvania, and Columbia.

The National Democratic Committee will hold its conference in mid-August, in which Biden will be officially nominated to represent the party in the presidential elections.
