Saudi-backed Islah militants ambushed in Abayn

ABAYAN, June 2 (YPA) – A number of the Saudi-backed Islah Party militants were killed and wounded on Tuesday in an armed ambush carried out in Yemen’s southern province of Abayn, sources said.

The sources stated that the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) ‘s militia carried out the armed ambush against the Islah militants in Jarrah area, east of al-Mahfed city, destroying also three military vehicles.

According to the sources, the ambush was carried out against Islah military vehicles with a number of military crews on the main road in the same area, using various weapons.
